Fall Protection Extension Lanyard

Extension Lanyard offers the convenient option of lengthening a full-body harness dorsal D-ring, making it easier to connect. The snap hook of the Extension Lanyard attaches directly to the dorsal D-ring. Extension Lanyard D-ring becomes the new harness connection point. This product helps workers to reach their harness dorsal D-ring, though it is always important to consider the 18 inch fall clearance and free fall increase when this lanyard is in use.

Installation and Use:

Ensure that all connectors and other components of the PFAS are compatible with this Lanyard, and are selected by a competent person
Make considerations for eliminating or minimizing swing fall hazards
Ensure that the structure to which the anchorage connector is attached is capable of withstanding a minimum load relative to the application
Attach lanyard snap hook or carabiner to compatible harness D-ring
Attach remaining snap hook or carabiner end of the lanyard to compatible anchorage connector

The Fall Protection “Extension Lanyards” are attached to the harness before use to lower the lanyard attachment point to waist level. This product is particularly ideal for workers who cannot comfortably reach the dorsal D-ring on their harness. This version of the product comes with a snaphook end.
